Established in 2022, Melbourne Strings comprises Melbourne's top classical string players, including leading professionals and emerging artists. MS celebrates the virtuosity and diversity of music for strings in original and engaging orchestral and chamber music concerts.

Proudly supported by the City of Melbourne and the University of Melbourne, we presented a program of Pēteris Vasks Violin Concerto Distant Light, Grieg Nordic Melodies and the premiere of Ballade for Strings and Voices by Sandra Aleksejeva-Birze, specially written for this event.
